Lighttpd + FCGI + Perl, anyone?

Catalyst is not a defacto requirement.
We also run a daemon for plain mason handling that's fastcgi, and on the
lighttpd side it's the same as catalyst.

I can provide examples of that daemon too if you change your mind.
