Not necessarily so advanced either. I'm particularly looking forward to 
the tech meet because I don't really understand *why* I'd want to use 
Moose. If the talks are all aimed high and assume that I know a load of 
OO theory then I'll struggle.

I'm not a comp-sci graduate and I came to perl and programming largely 
through systems administration and then web development. What I know of 
OO I largely learned from Damian's book and working with the various ORM 
systems. I mostly get it but I don't really understand what the fuss is 
about.

I want to believe^Wlearn.
