How are you finding it? The G1 is the only Android phone I've found with a
full keyboard
("full" defined as being able to get basic ascii symbols such as |,{,} by a
simple two key chord).
I've been looking for something to which to upgrade but without luck.

On the plus side I did find a version of Android ("ginger yoshi") which
makes the phone just about
fast to use again.

Not used perl directly on the phone, but have definitely edited it across
ssh :)
