SENIOR Perl DEVELOPER (contract)       LONDON

 

Senior Perl programmers required for a London based client. 

 

My award winning client is looking for Senior Perl developer contractors
with backend focus who are comfortable in writing quality code for the web
to meet the business needs. 

 

You will be expected to communicate well with teams and the Product team, to
lead, be detail focused and enthusiastic. At list of the required and
desired skills below..

 

Contract Perl Developers are expected to have proven professional experience
in all the listed requirements and will be expected to provide evidence of
large scale projects worked on.

 

Required skills:

Linux - knowledge of Linux systems down to kernel level. 

Perl - minimum 5 years' experience of OO Perl, with application in web
development

Database design and administration including MySQL

Scalability through the use of Caching e.g. CDNs memcached, site/db
optimization techniques

Perl, CPAN, SQL, XML, Linux

SVN, GIT. cvs or another source code management system

 

Desired skills:

Mason or other web frameworks

PHP (Zend framework)

Cloud based development (AWS, AMI Builds etc)

Load Balancers, TCP/IP, DNS, 

XHTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript
