A tricky one this month due partly to some confusion between the pub
tzar and myself and also partly because it's the Great British Beer
festival at Earls Court at the same time which, I'm sure, will have a
strong London.pm contingent there preparing to drink the Lonix
contingent under the table.

I did actually consider saying that the social would be at the festival
but I wasn't sure that was the best idea so some new, new, new heretics
will be convening at the regular time (about 6:30pm) at the Anchor on

I haven't reserved any space.

If it's warm we'll try and sit outside, if not, errm, inside. Possibly
upstairs. I'll stick a stuffed camel on that table.

If you fancy going to the GBBF instead then all the details are here

I'm sure the L.pm raiding party will do something to indicate which one
is their table. Other than dancing topless on tables.

Now the standard blurb ...

Social meetings are a chance for people to meet up face to face for a
quiet drink (alcoholic or not) A fair chunk of Perl is talked at the
meetings, but also people who have no interest in the language often
pop along to socialise. There's no charge to enter, no agenda, and we
tend to think of it more as pleasant drinks rather than any serious

People normally turn up after work, and many stay until closing time.
Food is normally consumed at the pub by those wanting nourishment
though sometimes small groups of people head off for food either
  during or after the meeting.

Riverside pub, short walk from the Tate Modern.

By Tube

London Bridge is closest; Southwark is also fairly close; both are on
the Jubilee Line and London Bridge is also on the Northern Line. It's
possible to walk from Blackfriars (District, Circle); it takes about
  20 minutes.

By Bus

  Many buses cross London Bridge (17, 21, 35, 40, 43, 47, 48, 133, 149,
501, 521); the 344 crosses Southwark Bridge and the 381 goes along
  Southwark Street.
